If you have any questions about this year's summergen, please comment here, and not on the sign-up post when it goes up.
We'll edit this post as needed to answer any questions/issues that come up.
Q: Can I request stories/art about minor and recurring characters, not just the Winchesters?
A: Absolutely, yes. Please do! The only "but" is for vid prompts: recurring characters such as Castiel or Ellen would be fine, but some characters who have only been in one ep might not provide enough material for a vidder.
Q: Will there be a separate sign-up post for pinch-hitters?
A: Yes there will. The pinch-hitters post will go up some time after sign-ups close and will remain open throughout the posting period.
Q: Can I sign up if I don't have a livejournal?
A: You don't need a livejournal account, but you do need a valid email address. You can log into livejournal using Open ID to comment on the sign-up post. (See the LJ help section if you don't know about Open ID.)
Q: Where do I sign up as an artist/vidder?
A: Use the same template as for fiction sign ups, and sign up in the same post. In the fields "scenarios you'd prefer to write" specify that you are offering art or vids, and if you are not offering fic state that, too.
Q: As you're allowing art and vids this year, can I sign up ONLY as an artist?
A: The short answer is yes, you can. You can offer art or vids or fic or any combination of the three. The slightly longer answer is if you do sign up for more than than one of those, it will be easier for us to match you with a recipient. But it's completely your choice what to offer.
Q: Are we allowed to write our recipient multiple fics based on their scenarios/prompts, or only one fic?
A: You can write only one fic for your recipient. It can be as long as you like (the minimum length is 1,000 words), and you can use multiple prompts for one fic, but you can submit only one story for the challenge.
If you think you'll have time to write more than one fic, please sign up as a pinch-hitter. These are the people who step in to write/create for any participants who have to drop out: if you pinch-hit you'll get a new set of prompts to choose from.
