This was such a great read! A wonderful balance of realism we don't usually see in Show, a fun premise without skimping on the angst, and an unexpected outcome. Such a close, inside-Dean's-mind POV that is VERY IC, and Dean's questioning, his new understanding of his own childhood and Sam's, and especially the conclusion he comes to-- that he is living his right life-- is so, so rewarding.
I especially love the subtlety of the ending. One look at Dean, Sam sits up, we know no further explanation is needed. I picture Sam pulling his own packed duffle out from behind the door and they're in the Impala one minute later. <3 <3 :-D
