Summergen Update

As of today, we have 43 people signed up for Summergen!

This means I can now officially offer an extended deadline to a small number of people. This applies to you if, and only if, you've got something important going on that means you know in advance that the June 30 deadline isn't going to work for you. That means stuff like you're sitting exams in June, or your kid is having surgery - not simply that you fancy a bit more time to write.

Which isn't to say that extensions aren't possible for anyone else, or that we won't understand if there's some sort of crisis you can't anticipate. But the offer of an extended deadline is for people who know well in advance we've picked a bad deadline, so they can still participate.

With 40-ish sign ups, I can offer an extra two weeks for up to 5 people. That's a deadline of 14 July. (It should be 13th, but that's a Friday and I won't tempt fate.) You must comment on this post and explain why you need it if you want to claim this. I don't need details, just a reason. You can email the mods address if you prefer not to explain in a public post - supernatural @ summergen . co . uk (remove the spaces) - but you still need to leave a comment here so I can count the number of requests in one place. If we hit 60 sign ups, I can either offer this option for more people, or offer those who need it a wee bit longer.

There is a catch. If you claim an extended deadline, you can't then ask for more than 2 or 3 days additional extension. So please be sure that you will be able to submit within that time.
