Summergen 2011 Master List

A HUGE thank you to all our talented writers. I had a great summer of fic: I hope you all did too. In particular, thanks to all who were newbies this year - I hope you'll join in again next year.

This year's heroic and wonderful pinch-hitters were [livejournal.com profile] transfixeddream, [livejournal.com profile] just_ruth, [livejournal.com profile] desertport, [livejournal.com profile] cherry_kiss_8 and [livejournal.com profile] geckoholic. Thank you all so much for your hard work. I couldn't run this challenge without you!

And now for the big reveal... )

Authors - your fics are now your own again :) Go ahead and repost as you please.

Free-For-All Rules

Okay, so here's the deal with the Summergen Fall Free-For-All:

Every year there are a few summergen writers who either want to write more than one fic for their recipient, or who started a couple of different fics before settling on the one they submitted. The Free-For-All is primarily for them: dig that other fic out of the mothballs and finish it - you can post it any time between now and Christmas Day.

But this isn't limited to those who participated in this year's challenge. At this point anyone can come along, look over the list of prompts (see below), pick one or several of them and create something. That's why it's called a free-for-all - everyone is welcome. There are no sign-ups, and no anonymity rule like the summer challenge. You don't even have to write fic: if a prompt inspires you to make artwork or a vid, maybe - go right ahead.

You don't have to "claim" a prompt: just pick one and go for it.

The only rules are submissions must be based on one or more of the 2011 prompts and must be gen.

When you post, please include the prompt(s) you are responding to.

The prompts:

Sam and Dean-centric prompts

Dean-centric prompts

Sam-centric prompts

Prompts about other characters

Prompts that don't specify a character (or that could work for any character)

Crossover prompts

Please note, the categories I've used are fairly arbitrary. It's just a convenient way of splitting up the list into chunks, because a long unbroken list is difficult to read. So many of the prompts under "other characters" also include Sam and Dean. There's also nothing to stop you, in the Free-for-all, taking a Sam and Dean prompt and making it about two completely different characters, or vice versa. These stories aren't gifts, just for fun all around.

The Fall Free-For-All is now OPEN for posting!
