Deadline reminder

Hello summergenners!

How's the writing going? A huge thank you to everyone who has already sent a story in. You guys are amazing!

For everyone else, this is a friendly reminder that the deadline for submissions is Friday July 1st. That's less than a week away.

If you cannot make the deadline you must contact me at supernatural @ summergen . co . uk (without the spaces) by Thursday June 30th to request an extension. Please don't leave it until the last minute. When requesting an extension, please remember to tell me how long you need. I will be as flexible as I can but you don't have an extension until I've got an agreed date to put in my spreadsheet.

If you have to default, I will understand. I know stuff happens and certain things in life take priority over fanfic. I know that sometimes, despite the best intentions, the fic just refuses to happen. But please don't default by going silent. Email me and let me know. It's polite, it reduces my stress and it means I can find your recipient a pinch-hitter in plenty of time.

I have finished my own summergen assignment now, so I'm available to beta if anyone needs last minute help. Comment or email me if you need me.

One last thing: please don't panic if I don't respond to you right away. Odds are we're in different time zones. I reply as quickly as I can.

Heads-up: "Fall Free-For-All"

This is just a heads-up: Summergen will open for the fall free-for-all in September.

The free-for-all is for everyone who wants to write a bit more about one of their prompts, or who would like to write for someone else. No one is obliged to take part. There's only one rule: submissions must be gen. Beyond that, anything goes - any length, any media (not just fic), and any genre you like.

I'll post all the promps that were sent in for this year's summergen. Anyone who wants to join in can look over the list, pick a prompt and create something to fill it. Then post it here in the community.

The free-for-all will begin in September and stay open until Christmas.
