Admin Post: Header Info

We're getting closer to the deadline and people are starting to send their stories in, so here's a bit of information about what we want:

- You can send the story as an attachment (.doc, .txt, .rtf) or in the body of your email. We should be able to handle most kinds of files without trouble, but we'll let you know if we can't open it.

- Please include a complete header with your story, including the title, your username, the recipient's username, rating, any author's notes you have, and some kind of summary. Check out the header formatting on last year's stories to see how we would like it to look. The summary can be the prompt you used or something else, just as long as there is a line or two describing what it's about. If there are incidental pairings in the story, you can include those in the header as well. (If you've already sent in your story without a header, you don't have to send the whole thing again. Just make sure we have all the information so we can include it.)

- Include html formatting tags in the text of your story. Don't include any fancy font stuff; we're only going to post in the default font. But we do need to have bold and italic and any centering/alignment tags you want included already. See the LJ FAQ on the subject if don't know how. (If you've already sent your story in without html tags, I'm afraid you do need to send it in again, because we're not going to code all the stories ourselves.)

We apologize if we've been non-communicative lately. Real life has intervened in a variety of unpleasant ways, but we'll do our best to get caught up with everything soon.

Finally, we will be contacting a couple of you who offered to pinch hit shortly. We don't know yet if we'll have more need in the next few weeks, but if you're willing to write a pinch hit story and haven't yet let us know, please leave us a comment here so we can add you to the list.
