Looking for Pinch Hitters
I'm about to post our first request for pinch-hitters for the 2011 ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)

Like last year, all requests for pinch-hitters will be posted here in our sister communityspn_genpinchhit rather than on the main comm. You must join this comm to see the requests as all posts will be locked to members only and please make sure it shows on your friends list otherwise you'll miss the posts.
What is a pinch-hitter? We want everyone who signed up for Summergen to get a fic. But sometimes people can't make their assignments. RL gets in the way, or other problems can happen, or maybe the assignment is just taking too long to complete. When that happens, we need someone to take over the assignment for the person who has had to withdraw.
Pinch-hitters are the folks who take over. They are heroes! It means being able to write or create to very tight deadlines, although we'll give you as long as we possibly can for pinch-hit requests. Pinch-hitters are the people who make sure no one goes away from this challenge disappointed. It's a lot of fun if you have the right temperament for it.
Note: there is absolutely no obligation if you comment here. When we have a request that needs a pinch-hitter, we'll post inspn_genpinchhit and you can decide whether you want to claim it.
The mods want to make sure everyone gets their request so if you have to pull out from summergen let me know as soon as you can so we have as much time as possible to find a pinch-hitter and not leave someone disappointed.
